Congratulations to Dr. Catherine (Katie) Kearns for her remarkable achievements this year. In April 2015 she finished her dissertation in Classical Archaeology, titled “Unruly environments: the making of a 1st millennium BCE political landscape on Cyprus.” She also successfully interviewed for the position of Assistant Professor of Classics, University of Chicago, specializing in the archaeology and material culture of the ancient world, starting July 2016. In the meantime, she will be an Andrew W. Mellon Fellow in the Humanities at the Classics Department in Stanford University. Kudos, congratulations, and well done, indeed! The CIAMS community wishes Katie all the best. You will be missed, Katie!
